ABOUT US

since 1985

The story is simple, a young man works hands-on to make an old truck his passion and personality.  An old red Ford truck that had already put on some tough farm work miles, built stone fireplaces, pulled firewood for a warm fire, and even made it to a few high-school proms.

Most of all, it carried fresh caught fish, fishing rods, 30 inch frying pans, cooking grills, red meat, and old coleman coolers of picnic delicious.

Large outdoor cook stove stuffed with seasoned hardwoods made some of the most delightful 4 hour meals. Twenty, thirty or more feasted on smokey chicken, rare london broil, bacon wrapped fresh trout, grilled corn on the cob, BG potatoes, grilled Vadalia Onions, and what a feast it was.

Our story is the story. A fresh, delicate, but hearty meal cooked with just hot embers, pine needles, bugs, some cold beer, and a ton of love.

Today, a young man follows his father's passion by bringing you these real, honest techniques for creating the finest slow cooked BBQ feasts.  The cooking process is all natural, no chemicals, propane, gas, or other oil based heat. We use real hardwood and natural charcoal. We cook your food for hours, at low temperatures to preserve the flavor of the meat, in its own juices.  Our delicate rubs add a touch a flavor to highlight the best flavor the protein has to offer.  This is not fast and overcooked rotisserie ribs or watery - boiled amish pork.   The pork and chicken is so tender it is pulled by hand, no chopping or cutting - just real pulled delicious.
